Why not say " How do i prevent PEOPLE from talking in the movie theatre?"

Anyway I can tell you what you can do the next time you go to the movies and a PERSON is talking...

You walk up to them very quietly and say " Excuse me ma'm (or sir depending on what sex the PERSON is) could you try and lower your voice, Im trying to enjoy this movie I paid to see and Im having a hard time following it because I can hear you talking"

Then say thank you and walk away!
go to a black themed movie and start talking.

People who talk in a movie really don't care about anyone else. They simply feel they are entitled to do whatever they want without any regard for the rights of others. This is the same mentality that let's smokers think they can smoke in a restaurant.

There are people from all races who are selfish and inconsiderate. Let's not point fingers at black people too much without any hard facts although I would be interested to see the results of scientific study about what race of people tend to shout at the screen during a movie. For example... during a horror movie, what race of people more often shouts "GIRL DON'T GO IN THERE!" or something as equally as silly considering it is a movie and the actors can't hear you tell them to not go in there! lol
I know how you feel , I wait till the show has been out for at least two weeks before I go. If at all possible, go during the week before 4 pm. We saw the Rocks new one "Gridiron Gang" yesterday and there were only 5 people in the theater.Good luck....

i noe how u feel, i used to watch movie in oakland it was horrible. so stay out of dat town. go to were its more diverse.
tell them they are giving away chicken and watermelon outside the theater
it may be the local culture in that area to be boiserous to enjoy the movie Or there may be more young people there-they tend to be loud. It's probabaly an age or culture thing, not so mucha "black" thing.

Try another theatre n a different area.You may get other problems like crying babies!

My Suggestion to you would be to attend a mid-day movie. Better yet buy the movie boot leg and watch it at home. It seems to be the new trend for folks like you who have personal issues within public places that provide entertainment. Everyone who has ever been to a public theater knows that everyone and anyone who can will and do without regard to who it bothers, just like the cell phone thingy... Have you ever used one in a public place? I so sure you have, did, will and continue to do so no matter who hears the conversation..

The same way you prevent any other color person from talking. Really, you cannot prevent anyone from doing anything that they want to do, however, you can politely ask them to stop or bring the usher to attention of the disturbance in the theater so as to stop the talking altogether.

Tell you what...you cant prevent anybody from talking in movies but for the most part some people react differently to the actions and scenes...really its actually intended to be somewhat interactive but not totally ...although I do agree that urban people and younger ones do tend to voice out their comments or even scream out like if the actors are able to hear them?? Its stupid but people do it...its ignorant too from any walk of life...black,white,hispanic,green or yellow...its just plain rude!!! I like what Magic Johnson did in opening his theaters in the urban areas...he insisted that all viewers adhere to the no-talking during movie and it was clearly addressed and any violators would be escorted out...any color...etc....worked for him...cant be racists coming from a fellow black????

I don't think there is any thing you can do to stop them. most people just do what they want no matter how much they talk. and lots a time they have the tendency to talk luoder just because you asked them to be quite.

Go to an all-white movies theatre instead and look at movies with only white people in it, and you can start eating food that is only from white farms and beef that comes only from white cowspork that comes only from white swine and do not drink milk that comes from black cows or cows with any trace of balck on their bodies.

On Black Fridays you should stay at home. Avoid all and everything that is black or contains any trace or traces of black, and when you die you may not even turn black in your grave.
