Place to dine in Boston near the Boston Opera House (theatre district)?

I need a place to go to dinner before I take a date to a play. I want to spend about $75-100, so nothing crazy, but it needs to be near the opera house! HELP! It's next week!

There's an excellent Italian restaurant in the Theater District called Maggiano's Little Italy. You're going to see Wicked, aren't you? I am too!
Avila. It's new-ish and clean. They have small plates or full meals with a decent wine list. Its within walking distance to the theatre.
The Chris Ruth Steakhouse. It's a walking distance. Don't be fooled by the name...they have more than steak. But their food, including the steak is to die for.

Hank, I'm sure she will get a good meal for $100
Southiegirl, great suggestions. To give you a little more info, Ivy is a great nouveau/Italian place with a great tasting menu. It's unpretentious. Mantra describes itself as an Indo-European restaurant. But their food and service has more of a Continental feel rather than the Anglo influence you might expect. All that and both are around the corner from the Opera House
Mantra or Ivy Restaurant on Temple Place are good choices and are right around the corner from the Opera House. If you want a little less fancy, try Emperors Garden in Chinatown. Chinatown is right next to the Opera House so you'll have lots of less expensive choices there.
Southiegirl gives you great advice. There is also an excellent Italian place on Tremont Street in the block that abuts the Opera House but I forget its name. However you may have to have to order glasses, not a bottle, of wine at that and Southiegirl's places in order to keep under your $ 100 budget, depending on which entrees you choose.

Why K. Chick does not know Ruth Chris' is an (EXPENSIVE!!) national steak house chain I cannot imagine; anyway it is a 12-15 minute walk away.

As to Robert S' suggestions, I go down that part of Washington Street two or 3 times a week and I have never seen them. I think Robert may be an out of town Yahoo Answers junkie who looked up the Opera House address and then searched for restaurants nearby. What he does not know is that within the Boston city limits there are THREE (count 'em) Washington Streets. By the names of the places he cites I would guess they are located on the Washington Street in the Dorchester-Roxbury part of the city.
